Our concept for Bibi’s Middle Eastern Kitchen was to create an atmosphere where we play with three elements: The exterior, interior, and the food.

The location for this restaurant is in the trendy neighbourhood of Hintonburg, where cool boutiques, bistros and vegan cafes are popping up. We wanted the exterior of Bibi’s to speak to the geography of its location, as well as become a presence as the new kid on the block. We took the branding colours, and completely brightened up this building. A hot pink alleyway pulls in the fun ways that this Ottawa neighbourhood extend the love of the “backyard”.

The goal of the interior of this space was to let the food speak and have the interior colours and elements fade into the background. This was achieved by softening the colour palette and making different zones in the restaurant for diverse seating experiences.

We love how bright and cheerful this project became.
